Help! I’ve closed a browser tab by accident!

If you accidentally close a browser tab (we’ve all done it), just press these keys to instantly reopen it.

Ctrl + Shift + T

(reopens your last Google Chrome tab (Windows | Chromebook | Linux)

For Mac the shortcut changes to

Cmd + Shift + T

For Safari use

Cmd + Z

This works even if you’ve closed several tabs – each press brings back the next one in your history.

This small shortcut saves you from hunting through history, re‑logging into pages, or retracing your steps on particularly busy admin days. It’s one of those quiet digital tricks that makes your workflow feel smoother.

PS: This also works after restarting your browser, so you can pick up right where you left off.
