Your head is not a system

If you find yourself repeatedly thinking:
'I just need to remember to...'
...it might be time to get it out of your head and into a system.
That doesn't necessarily mean complicated software.
It could be as simple as:
A checklist
A recurring calendar reminder (I use these a lot)
A straightforward task list
A documented process (SOPs are so useful)
A shared task tracker
Your memory is certainly very useful, but it shouldn't be your only system.
